Summerstar Tourist Parks Expands Further Into WA’s North With Hidden Valley Kununurra Acquisition
Kununurra, Western Australia: Summerstar Tourist Parks is thrilled to announce the acquisition of Hidden Valley Caravan Park in Kununurra, Western Australia. The occasion marks another exciting step forward in the group's commitment to helping guests create moments to cherish in WA’s most remarkable destinations.
The park will soon be trading as Hidden Valley Kununurra Caravan Park, proudly joining Summerstar’s growing network of family-owned and operated tourist parks that stretch from Ceduna in South Australia, along the coastline of WA, into the Pilbara, and now across from Broome and deeper into the Kimberley region.

The acquisition of Hidden Valley Caravan Park makes this Summerstar’s 16th property and comes just one month after the acquisition of Nanga Bay Resort, now known as Nanga Shark Bay Caravan Park.
“Some might say two acquisitions in one month is a little crazy, but this is a milestone moment for us,” said Summerstar Chief Executive Officer Sarah Corbitt. “Kununurra is a gateway to some of Australia’s most iconic outback and natural experiences, and we’re excited to connect travellers to the magic of the Kimberley.”
Tucked beside the striking sandstone formations of Mirima National Park (the locals call it the Mini Bungle Bungles), Hidden Valley Kununurra Caravan Park is a shady tropical escape in the heart of the Kimberley. Just 1.5km from town and minutes from iconic spots like the Ord River and Ivanhoe Crossing, it's the perfect base for adventuring in WA’s wild north.
With the addition of Kununurra to its portfolio, Summerstar continues to strengthen its presence across regional WA, from Broome in the north, Tom Price in the heart of the Pilbara, Kalbarri, Geraldton and Margaret River along the coast, and now to Kununurra, nestled on the edge of the dramatic East Kimberley.
"It'll come as no surprise that we're incredibly passionate about showcasing regional WA, and there’s no better way to do that than helping people explore it, one caravan park at a time,” said Sarah.
As with all Summerstar locations, the newly acquired park will undergo a review of services and facilities, with an emphasis on clean, comfortable, family-friendly and affordable accommodation - a trademark of the Summerstar name for near-on 30 years.
Guests can expect a seamless transition and will soon be able to find updates and will soon be able to make bookings at Hidden Valley Kununurra Caravan Park here.
