Pet-friendly options

Summerstar allows most pets in all powered and unpowered camping sites across all caravan park locations in Western Australia (with the exception of Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park) and in Ceduna in South Australia.

The reason for this? Eighty Mile Beach is a Marine Park and is land and waters managed under the Conservation and Land Management Act 1984. The beach is brimming with diverse marine life and delicate ecosystems (such as Flatback turtles that nest on the beach, and thousands of migratory birds), and therefore no pets (including dogs) are permitted. We're passionate about preserving this natural wonder and ensuring its sustainability for generations to come and we appreciate the understanding from our guests in helping us protect this unique environment.

We also offer pet-friendly accommodation in South Australia with our cottages at Ceduna Shelly Beach Caravan Park. 

To help everyone have a tip-top time, we've got some strict guidelines to keep all our visitors safe - favourite family pets included! Pet-friendly camping sites terms & conditions

Your pet remains your responsibility throughout your stay.

Entry to any park (except Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park) is conditional upon the pet owner abiding by the following requirements:

1. Your pet is NOT allowed in:
   - Roofed accommodation or on verandas (with the exception of Ceduna Shelly Beach Caravan Park pet-friendly cottages)
   - Camp kitchens
   - Ablution blocks
   - Games/entertainment rooms
   - Laundries
2.  Your pet must be on a 2metre-long lead and under your control when walking through the park. 
3. While on your site, your pet lead must not extend outside the bounds of your individual site. 
4. You must ensure your dog barking does not become a nuisance to other guests. 
5. If your dog bites a person or other dog, as the pet owner you accept full responsibility for any personal injury or damage caused by your pet whilst in our park. As per the WA Dog Act 1976, we are required to report any dog bite to the local rangers.
6. Summerstar reserves the right to refuse entry to dangerous breeds and aggressive animals at the Managers discretion.
7. All pet faeces are to be bagged and binned immediately. Bags are available at the main bin areas and at various points around our parks.
8. Pets are not to be left unattended at any time. Please take your pet with you whenever you go out. Contact our friendly Reception staff for information on local boarding kennels. 
9. No pet bond is required, however, Summerstar reserve the right to charge your credit card to cover any damage or clean up.

If we reasonably believe your pet is causing a nuisance, behaving dangerously or causing damage to the property, you will be required to remove it from the park. No refunds will be provided in these instances.

Pet-friendly cottages in Ceduna terms & conditions 

The above terms & conditions for pet-friendly camping sites still apply for those staying in our pet-friendly cottages at Ceduna Shelly Beach Caravan Park with the below amendments. 

1. Your pet is NOT allowed in:
   - Non pet-friendly roofed accommodation types or on verandas
   - Camp kitchens
   - Ablution blocks
   - Games/entertainment rooms
   - Laundries

       3. Your pet is permitted off-lead when within the confines of your cottage.
