Towering high right next to Hidden Valley Kununurra Caravan Park, you can see the same (albeit smaller) rock formations that you can find in Purnululu National Park. Boasting three trails to explore through Mirima National Park, the 2000 hectare park is perfect for a bushwalk and to spot local wildlife.

Run by volunteers of the Kimberley Historical Society, the Kununurra Museum is a great place to take kids to learn more about the history of the town. Marvel at the collection of artefacts, some that are more than a million years old!
14. Explore waterfalls in Kununurra
Known for it's cascading waterfalls, there are plenty of waterfalls in Kununurra that you can drive out to! Falls like Molly Springs, Black Rock Falls and The Grotto are all fairly accessible, though if you really want to go big, take the kids on a flight tour to visit wonders like Mitchell Falls and Horizontal Falls.
15. Swim Beach
A quiet little freshwater beach in Kununurra that also makes for a great picnic spot. Please note that this section of the Upper Ord River is a saltwater crocodile controlled environment. There are freshwater crocodiles present.
