Summerstar Strengthens South West Presence with Collie Acquisition

Summerstar Tourist Parks Extend Their Reach into WA’s South West With Collie River Valley Acquisition

  • Collie River Valley Tourist Park has been acquired by Summerstar Tourist Parks and will soon operate as Collie Tourist Park
  • The addition brings Summerstar’s trusted park experience to the Trail Town of Collie
  • The WA family-owned group now operates 17 parks across Western Australia and South Australia

Collie, Western Australia: Summerstar Tourist Parks is pleased to announce the acquisition of Collie River Valley Tourist Park, marking another significant step in the group’s continued expansion and dedication to creating moments to cherish in WA’s most remarkable destinations.

The park will shortly begin trading as Collie Tourist Park, joining Summerstar’s growing portfolio of family-owned and operated tourist parks. With locations spanning from Ceduna in South Australia, along WA’s coastline, through the Pilbara and Kimberley regions, and now further into the South West, the acquisition reinforces Summerstar’s commitment to showcasing the very best of regional Australia.

The addition of Collie Tourist Park brings Summerstar’s total portfolio to 17 parks, following recent acquisitions including Hidden Valley Kununurra Caravan Park and Nanga Shark Bay Caravan Park.

“Three acquisitions within a year might seem like a lot, but bringing Collie into the fold is an important step for Summerstar,” said Summerstar Chief Executive Officer Sarah Corbitt. “Expanding into Collie allows us to connect guests with one of WA’s most adventure-rich destinations,” she said. “As a recognised Trail Town, Collie is perfectly positioned for visitors seeking hiking, mountain biking and outdoor experiences in the South West.”

The unassuming town of Collie is so much more than it seems. Rich in history and steeped in adventure, Collie Tourist Park will offer guests an ideal base to explore the region, from Wellington National Park and turquoise lakes to native wildlife and world-class trail networks.

With the addition of Collie to its portfolio, Summerstar continues to strengthen its presence across regional WA, from Broome in the north, Tom Price in the heart of the Pilbara, Kalbarri, Geraldton and Margaret River along the coast, and now to Collie, in-land of the South West.

“Our passion has always been regional WA,” Sarah said. “There’s no better way to share it than by helping people experience these destinations firsthand, one park at a time.”

As with all new Summerstar acquisitions, Collie Tourist Park will undergo a review of facilities and services, with a focus on delivering clean, comfortable, family-friendly and affordable accommodation — hallmarks of the Summerstar experience for nearly 30 years.

Guests can expect a seamless transition and will soon be able to find updates and will soon be able to make bookings at Collie Tourist Park here.
